Two animated walk cycles

A couple of walk cycle tests I did a month or so ago. It's pretty easy to nail a basic walk, but the tricky part is really injecting character into the action.
I was thinking, an old woman is pretty hard to get right... to make her walk with relative ease, but still show her age at the same time. I gave it a shot anyway. The man's a bit weird with his dress sense, I know. He has a confident stride none the less!

Really wanted to have a go at doing a futuristic soldier-type. Keeping it loose and sketchy.

Yeah, just drawing various people in the style of Street Fighter 4 for a bit of fun.

Window shopping

On Saturday I spotted a copy of Henry VIII (which I illustrated) in the window of Eastside Books on Brick Lane! It's sitting right on top of Much Ado About Nothing, illustrated by Emma Vieceli.

It made me feel special so I took a picture...

Leek & Sushi II "Manga Cupcakes"

"Leek & Sushi II", a graphic novel anthology containing 20 short stories is out now, and I'm a part of it! Each story is between 4-8 pages and relates in some way or another to the theme of "the sun". My image for the political topic over at Illustrated Elephant. I find it really fun drawing bad guys, so I thought Nick Griffin would be a good politician to draw. He's got some really easy features to exaggerate, especially that glass eye...

Things

Argh, forgot to update recently! I was signing at the Selfmade Hero stand @ MCM Expo in the Excel Centre two weekends ago, so that was fun. We sold out of Richard III books too! Hello to anyone who was there :D

Anyway, another thing that I should have done ages ago is to direct people's attention toward this blog where a few illustrator friends and myself are doing what is now monthly art projects.
